Currently, there are no methods for non-invasive treatment of CAVS. Nevertheless, it is assumed that effective drug therapy for CAVS can be developed on the basis of modulators of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), which is involved in the pathogenesis of this disease. The purpose of this paper is to compile and analyze current information on the role of RAAS in the CAVS pathophysiology. Recent data on the effectiveness of RAAS inhibition are reviewed.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Аортальный стеноз</kwd><kwd>ренин-ангиотензин-альдостероновая система</kwd><kwd>кальцификация</kwd><kwd>патофизиология</kwd><kwd>консервативная терапия</kwd><kwd>ингибиторы АПФ</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Aortic stenosis</kwd><kwd>renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system</kwd><kwd>calcification</kwd><kwd>pathophysiology</kwd><kwd>conservative treatment</kwd><kwd>ACE inhibitors</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена в рамках комплексной программы фундаментальных научных исследований СО РАН по фундаментальной теме НИИ КПССЗ № 0546-2015-0011 «Патогенетическое обоснование разработки имплантатов для сердечно-сосудистой хирургии на основе биосовместимых материалов, с реализацией пациент-ориентированного подхода с использованием математического моделирования, тканевой инженерии и геномных предикторов».</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Lindman BR, Clavel M-A, Mathieu P, Iung B, Lancellotti P, Otto CM et al.
